Stagnant market

Jan 8, 2015 in General @en

During the last months of 2013 the stagnation of the refuse sacks market in Spain was confirmed. The legal and commercial context which has considerably reduced the free distribution of so-called “shopping bags” (the free ones from the supermarket), has promoted the incorporation of new consumers to this category in recent years. Some of those who did not consume refuse sacks used these free supermarket shopping bags for throwing out their waste. Independently of the effect of the arrival of these new consumers to the category of refuse sacks, the stagnation of the market has been confirmed and Saplex maintains its market share at around 50% (KANTAR 2013).
